Guide
How to read your JobHoot score
Three numbers show up in the product. They are not three names for the same thing.
Read the labels in this order
On the free result, the large number is Resume Score. It describes the document you uploaded, not a vacancy. Inside it, Parse Rate is the extraction percentage. Read that first. A low Parse Rate means later comments about keywords are comments about text that may not have been there. Fix the file, upload again, and only then read the rest of the category list.
The checks under that score are about the document: headings, dates, whether bullets contain anything a person could ask about. They are not Job Match Score. Job Match Score appears only after you sign in and paste one posting in ATS Checker. If you are staring at the guest result and trying to learn whether Bank Mandiri would call, you are asking a question this page refused to take. It never saw that ad.
A movement in Resume Score after you retype a text box into a real paragraph is a file change. A movement in Job Match Score after you add the ad's term next to true work is a vocabulary change. Do not celebrate one as if it were the other. The glossary defines both, with anchors, so you can check the name when the page you are on only says "score."
Make the text selectable
Put your name in the body of the document, not only in a colored header. Use one column. Headings a person would say out loud are enough: Experience, Education, Skills. Each role is a block with the employer, the title, and dates as text, then bullets. Do not build the layout from tables, text boxes, or a row of software logos. Word can do this. A poster app usually cannot.
Export a PDF and try to drag across one bullet. If the highlight skips, the words are still a picture. Upload that PDF to the free check at `/resume-score/`. Parse Rate is the share that came out as clean text. It is a JobHoot heuristic, not a reading from any employer's ATS. Resume Score on the same page is about the document, with no account and no job ad. If Parse Rate is low, fix the file and upload again before you think about keywords.
Then match one posting, if you have one
Job Match Score needs a sign-in and one vacancy. It lives at `/ats-checker/`, which is not in the sitemap. It asks whether this file uses that ad's words next to work you did. It does not average itself with Resume Score into a single ATS score. The marketing line can still say ATS score, because that is the search. The result page should not.
A token costs Rp 250 when an AI write succeeds. A new account gets 50 tokens once. The guest score does not spend them. The smallest purchase later is 100 tokens, Rp 25.000. Do not spend one to invent an employer, a degree, or a date. If the ad wants a license you do not hold, leave the gap.
What to send
Send the PDF whose text you could copy. Keep the designed poster for a human who asked for a visual, and even then keep a text version. Switching templates inside JobHoot does not delete the lines you typed, and the export stays text. A PNG downloaded from a gallery is not a template you can be searched through.
A number that moved, and why
Suppose Parse Rate goes from a low figure to near the top after you remove a sidebar. That change is the point of the guest check. It does not mean a company moved you up a list. Suppose Resume Score barely moves because the bullets are still "responsible for." The file is now readable and still vague. Edit the bullets with a tool and a count, upload again, and expect that number to care. Suppose you then paste an ad and Job Match Score is low because the ad says "forecast" and you wrote "report." Change the word only if you forecasted. If you reported, keep the honest verb and let the match stay lower.
Write down which number you touched. People lose an afternoon celebrating the wrong gauge, then buy a subscription to push it. The gauge you can push for free is the file. The gauge that costs a token is a rewrite against one ad. Neither gauge is the employer's private cutoff.
If you cannot tell which number moved, you are not ready to pay for a rewrite. Name the gauge, change the file, and upload again.
Name the number that moved before you buy anything. Parse Rate moving means the file became text. Resume Score moving means the bullets got specific. Job Match Score moving means one ad's words met true work.
